REVERIES
one-act play | cast of 2
reverie: noun. a fanciful or impractical idea or theory.
Over the course of one night, a couple navigates an unspeakable trauma the best way they can, ie. trying anything they can think of.
What does it look like to work through trauma? What does it sound like? Inspired by Debussy's magnificent piano piece, Reveries is a one act play for two actors. With no given names, genders, or any other identifiable traits, the characters in Reveries could be anyone. And with very few specifics given surrounding the events of the play, the trauma could be anything. Instead of investigating the specifics of the past, Reveries is an exploration into the "response."
